Welcome 2021 on ZDF – THE SHOW from the Brandenburg Gate

Because of the Corona pandemic, New Year’s Eve 20-21 could not be celebrated in the traditional way this year. The New Year’s Eve show on 31 December 2020 took place as a television production without a live audience. Only participating stars and artists were present alongside those involved in the production, in compliance with all applicable hygiene and safety regulations. Unfortunately, it was this year not possible for visitors to attend the show on location.

The big New Year’s Eve show „Welcome 2021“ coud be seen live from Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate on ZDF. Andrea Kiewel and Johannes B. Kerner welcomed music guests to the New Year’s Eve countdown stage from 9.45 pm. Álvaro Soler, die Höhner, and the British singer-songwriter Tom Gregory were among the guests. Together with these guests and many others, ZDF accompanied viewers at home into the New Year with a great live show until 12.30 am the following morning.

Last New Year’s Eve we started the year 2021 together in front of our screens!
